Tanya Jessen, producer of Bulletstorm, recently gave a radio interview. It went something like this: Tanya – “I’m out here in Warsaw, Poland and we’re finishing Bulle…” Radio host – “Wait, POLAND?!?! Seriously?!?! What are you doing in POLAND?!?!”
I asked a few journalists what is it that the readers of their magazines ask them the most. The answer, I have to say, surprised me.
I expected “give me the scoop on the games no one even knows exist” or “review everything” or “please include a poster of Trishka in revealing clothes.” I know I would ask for just that. But no, what readers usually ask for is the inner workings of gamedevelopment.
