Buttcomfort of Choice

the_one150

One of the things I appreciate with working here is that I’m free to do whatever I want with my office area. Figurines on the desk of course, but also posters on the walls and a blow-up Spider-Man. But the thing that really made me feel I’ve come to the right place is something else.

See, at one  of my previous employers I had a traumatic experience, being deceived and not getting what I was promised…

Swedish Rotten Fish

surstromming150

Surströmming, a Swedish ”delicacy” that is rotten fish.

I’m a Swede, so when our concept artist John heard about me going to Sweden for a visit he asked me about this phenomenon and asked me to get him some to try out.

Of course, knowing how terrible it smells and how disgusting its taste is; I gladly helped out!

He had no idea what he was in for…

Landing in the Eastern Block

Nope, it's not Gotham City, it's Warsaw.

I’ve been living in Warsaw for over a year now, but I’ll never forget my first few weeks here. For a foreigner, this country can be about as welcoming as returning home to a fresh dog poo.

SSSWWWOOOOOOOSSSHHHHH BOOOOOOOOOM!

Hi there! My name is Jose Teixeira, and I’m a special effects artist at People Can Fly. Usually the goal of a SFX artist is to make very realistic lifelike effects, that most people won’t even notice are there. Working in Bulletstorm, however… the goal is not the same.

Arcade is an evil genius

A magnificant bastard

I have known Arcade Berg, the primary dude behind this blog, for a long time. We went to university together and we shared a previous employer. We go years back, so when I say that he is a spawn of ultimate evil, I know what I am talking about.
